MY APPROACH
My work is eclectic in nature, which primarily draws from Person - Centered and Psychodynamic Perspective. We work through exploring the depths of our past to understand how it impacts our present.
I use Expressive Arts Therapy (dance/movement therapy, music therapy, art therapy, and Drama therapy) as a medium to explore, process and integrate the experiences of the past and present. Arts are supportive, restorative and containing and therefore aid the process of insight, growth and change in a space that is Gently Brave.
My past experiences with working with clients (Individual therapy) have been around Relational Challenges like fears surrounding Commitment, Trust Issues, Anxiety, Body - Shame, and Personal Development and Growth. The lens is systemic (the understanding of how our existing social structures impact us) and equally emphasizes on accessing one’s agency and personal responsibility for growth and insight. My work with Groups has majorly been with Neurodivergent kids and young adults, Underserved populations and Older Adults with Parkinson's Disease.
I work as an inclusive Mental Health Professional. This space doesn't discriminate against who enters it, however, there may be some concerns and populations that I may not take if it's beyond my competency, education, qualification or training. My work is rooted in transparency about what I am skilled to work with and what I am not.
Therapy is a collaborative space and the most successful and good enough relationships are where both the Mental Health Professional and the client take equal responsibility for the relationship. Skills, techniques, and knowledge are essential for therapy work, but the Therapeutic Relationship is the backbone of the work that happens.

My approach to Counselling and ExAt is not rooted in quick - fix - it procedures. It is rather insight - oriented and a gradual process rooted in getting to the root of the difficulties and using modalities that best serve the clients.
